1, preparation and inspection before driving. 3. Try to avoid driving at night. Driving on the highway for the first time during the day is very stressful, and driving at night will make novice drivers even more at a loss. Moreover, there will be more big trucks on the highway at night than during the day. If you are not skilled in driving, try not to drive at night, otherwise, the probability of danger will increase exponentially.

4. Control the speed. Freeways are different from urban roads, which not only have the highest speed limit, but also have the lowest speed limit. Generally, the speed limit range of expressway is between 60- 120. As a novice, try not to exceed 100, but never lower than 60, and don't occupy the leftmost lane for a long time, because the leftmost lane is usually a highway or expressway.

5. Overtaking must be decisive. When overtaking, you must overtake quickly, and don't wait too long when merging. If it is a manual transmission car, you can choose to downshift and overtake; If it is an automatic gear, we can change to S gear or start the sport mode. Do not merge into the original lane immediately after overtaking. Be sure to observe the rearview mirror and distance yourself from the rear car before merging.

6. Know how to predict and avoid sudden braking. When you get on the expressway for the first time, you must keep a safe distance from the car in front and don't follow the car too close. When the brake light of the front car is on, you should lift the accelerator and lightly step on the brakes. Never wait until the distance is too close to take sudden braking, so it is very easy for the rear car to have a rear-end collision because of the untimely braking.

7. When driving out of the expressway, change the lane in advance. When the navigation or signs remind us that there are still 2 kilometers from the exit, we should be ready to change to the rightmost lane. If you accidentally miss the intersection, don't stop or reverse, keep driving. Generally, there will be the next exit in dozens of kilometers.
