Everything has two sides, and joining the WTO is no exception. Although China faces many problems and challenges after joining the WTO, opportunities and challenges always coexist. As long as we do a good job and handle it properly, challenges can be turned into opportunities and disadvantages can be turned into advantages. The following is my swot analysis of the opportunities and threats of China's entry into WTO.

First of all, joining the WTO will help to expand China's exports.

Secondly, China's accession to the WTO will be beneficial to China's equal participation in world competition and to China's socialist market economy.

Third, after China's entry into the WTO, China's import tariffs will be reduced, which will help improve people's living standards.

Then there is the threat.

First of all, with the expansion of market access, the reduction of tariffs and the cancellation of non-tariff measures, foreign products, services and investments may enter the China market more, and some products and enterprises will face more intense competition.

Second, domestic enterprises generally don't know enough about WTO rules and experience, so the ruling after joining the WTO multilateral dispute settlement mechanism may also have unfavorable results.

Third, after China's entry into the WTO, western cultural industries, cultural products and cultural values have flooded in, and decadent western ideas, values and lifestyles will also have a certain impact on China.

However, these challenges are just to promote our enterprises and enhance their competitiveness, and the government should improve its legal power.

In short, in today's increasingly globalized economy, joining the WTO is an inevitable choice for China to integrate into the world economy.
