Due to the characteristics of high cost, high power consumption, large radiation and unreliability, the prospect of maglev train is not ideal. The normal-oriented maglev train can reach 400 to 500 kilometers per hour, and the superconducting maglev train can reach 500 to 600 kilometers per hour.

Its high speed makes it superior to flying in the driving distance between 1000 km and 1500 km. Because there are no wheels and no friction, it consumes 30% more electricity than the most advanced high-speed train at present.

Because there is no wheel-rail contact, the vibration is large and the comfort is not good, but heavy bumps also require extremely high maintenance costs for vehicles and tracks. The maglev train will not rub the track when running, so the noise is very low.
