Introduction to the origin of Nanshan baimao tea

White cat tea is produced in Nanshan, Hengxian County, Guangxi. Tea gardens are mainly distributed in Nanshan Temple and the main peak of Nanshan, with an altitude of about 800 ~ 1000 meters. Here, the mountains and rivers are beautiful, the pines and bamboos are green, the clouds are diffuse, the climate is mild, the annual average temperature is about 20℃, the rainfall is abundant, the annual rainfall is over 1500 mm, the soil layer is deep and the texture is loose. Tea trees are mostly middle-leaf varieties with dense buds and thin and tender leaves, which are ideal raw materials for making white hair tea.

Hengxian County has a long history of planting tea, and Nanshan White Cat Tea is the most famous. According to legend, when Wen Jian, emperor of the Ming Dynasty, took refuge in Yingtian Temple, Nanshan, he planted seven white hairy teas here, so he was also called a "holy seed". Nanshan White Cat Tea is produced in Nanshan, Hengxian County. The main peak is about 564 meters above sea level, with abundant rainfall, mild climate and misty clouds, which is very suitable for tea tree growth. Tea tree is a middle-leaf variety with strong and dense buds and thin and tender leaves, which is an ideal raw material for processing white hair tea. Generally, it is picked from the vernal equinox to the Qingming period. Super-grade tea is one tooth and one leaf, which is completed by five processes: spreading, deactivating enzymes, rolling, primary baking and full baking. In addition to White Cat Tea, Liu Feng Boutique Tea in Jiaoyi Town is also quite famous. Hengxian folk proverb says, "Buji Liu Feng is a good tea". In addition, there are Shengshan Tea in Li Antang, Jiangu Tea in Tao Wei and Zhuangling Tea in Mashan. In recent years, new varieties such as "Fuyun No.6", "Shuiling/KLOC-0", "Nanshan Bai Hao" and "Fuding Dabai" have been introduced into Hengxian County, and tea farms such as He Jiong Tea Factory, Jiao Yihua Tea Factory, Shengshan Tea Factory, Nayang Renfeng Tea Factory and Nanshan Tea Factory have gradually taken shape, with the tea farm area of Jiao Yihua Tea Factory 1 10,000 mu. In 2004, the tea garden area in Hengxian County was 1634 hectares, and the annual output of tea was 533 tons.
