In recent years, Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism has systematically planned rural tourism with a view to the new situation of normalized epidemic prevention and control, laid out rural tourism ahead of schedule based on the background of helping rural revitalization, accelerated the cultivation of formats, built brands and strengthened industries, actively built well-known rural tourism destinations in the west, created a "tourism version" of high-quality rural revitalization, promoted the upgrading and upgrading of rural tourism, and took the road of high-quality development of rural tourism in Gansu.

Relying on the unique natural heritage endowed by "God", the unique humanistic heritage left by "ancestors", the unique folk culture created by "ordinary people" and the unique red culture inherited by "old-timers", Gansu Provincial Cultural Tourism Department strives to promote rural tourism product innovation, foundation improvement and brand. In recent years, Gansu invested 1.2 billion yuan to successfully build 31 provincial-level rural tourism demonstration villages, 1 rural complexes, 6 rural tourism boutique routes, cultivate 381 rural tourism cooperatives, create 38 national rural tourism key villages, 3 national rural tourism key towns and villages, and 2 first-class tourist homestays in China. Beautiful countryside and characteristic homestays have become the first choice for tourists from inside and outside the province to stay and spend. A large number of demonstration villages such as Zhagana Village in Gannan, Huaqiao Village in Longnan, Tianfuyi Village in Qingyang, Sunji Village in Tianshui, Fenghuang Village in Pingliang and Dachuan Village in Linxia have become popular punching places for tourists from inside and outside the province, and beautiful countryside is becoming a new engine of green economy in the province.

Established Gansu Cultural Tourism Science and Education Innovation Alliance, focusing on the development of cultural tourism complexes such as pastoral complexes, characteristic towns, folk culture villages and rural tourism demonstration villages, and promoting education and technology to empower the cultural tourism industry. Build a platform of Gansu tourism think tank to provide strategic planning, forward-looking judgment, financial assistance, social services, personnel training and other services for the reform and innovation of rural tourism industry. Cooperate with relevant units to build the first provincial rural tourism big data index (China Gansu Rural Tourism Development Index) in China, and provide valuable statistical data, market prediction and guidance for the rural tourism market in the province in time. Entrust universities, media and enterprises to form a consulting service group to provide technical guidance and consulting services for rural tourism demonstration project construction, format cultivation, product development and operation management. Through a series of practical measures, the government and the market are guided to hold hands more tightly, which provides strong support for the development of rural tourism.
