Relevant policies and treatment for college students to enlist in the army

Military service for college students is an important measure to strengthen the modernization of national defense, implement the strategy of strengthening the army through science and technology, and improve the quality of troops in the army. 1. Basis and principles for recruiting new recruits: According to Article 25 of the Regulations on Recruitment Work, students who are enrolled in full-time colleges and universities who can be postponed according to law can be approved to serve in active service if they voluntarily apply and meet the requirements, and the Notice of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the General Staff Department and the General Political Department [22] No.1 on Further Improving the Recruitment of New Recruits from Students in Full-time Colleges and Universities. The current military service system stipulates that conscripts can retire from active service after serving for two years, or they can continue to serve in the army and be transferred to the rank of non-commissioned officer according to their personal wishes and the needs of the army.

second, the target and scope of recruiting new recruits: male students who have reached the age of 18-22 in full-time institutions of higher learning before the end of that year, and male students who have completed their studies in the first half of this year and graduated from universities (colleges) this year. Some female students can also be recruited according to the needs of the army.

iii. conditions and standards for recruiting new recruits: the political conditions and physical conditions of new recruits are strictly in accordance with the provisions on political conditions for recruiting citizens for active service and the standards for physical examination of citizens to be recruited. Among them, the basic physical conditions of men are more than 162 cm tall and weigh more than 5 kg; The vision of the right naked eye is 4.6(.4) and that of the left naked eye is 4.5(.3) or above. People with serious physical illness cannot be recruited into the army.

IV. Methods and procedures for recruiting new recruits: Students in their schools directly register with the People's Armed Forces Department (Security Department) of their colleges in the first ten days of October each year, and make visual registration and initial physical examination in the last ten days; Conduct political preliminary examination after the initial examination; Conduct a formal physical examination in early November; Political review of those who pass the medical examination from the end of the medical examination to the middle and late November; In late November, the receiving troops visited the school and applied for students; In early December, those who pass the medical examination and political examination will be selected according to their merits; After the soldiers are settled, the recruits will be physically reviewed; After passing the review, the district conscription office approved the enlistment; Go through the relevant formalities for leaving school after being approved to join the army; In mid-December, the new recruits were handed over to the troops. 5. Properly arrange studies: The school will arrange for the recruits to take the exams of the courses they have studied in this semester as far as possible before joining the army, or directly determine the grades according to the students' usual study conditions, and keep their school status until one year after retirement. For those who have completed the required courses or credits and meet the graduation requirements, the school may grant graduation and issue a graduation certificate.

After joining the army, college students can take part in correspondence courses organized by the original school or self-study the original professional courses, and can take the examinations organized by the school with the approval of the regimental units.

VI. Appropriate tuition reduction: After the college students are approved to join the army, the remaining tuition and miscellaneous fees paid will be returned to them by the school or managed by the school. After retiring from active service, if the family is in financial difficulties, the school will reduce the tuition fees as appropriate; Those who enjoy outstanding student scholarships before enlisting will be upgraded to a scholarship level after resuming their studies (excluding first-class scholarships); For those who have won a third-class merit award, tuition fees will be reduced or exempted according to the standard of not less than 5% after resuming school; Those who have won two third-class merit awards or two second-class merit awards and first-class merit awards will be exempted from paying all tuition fees after resuming their studies.

VII. Retirement and resumption of schooling policy: The school will actively do a good job in the resumption of schooling for college students who have retired from active service, so as to ensure that retired college students can resume schooling in time. If the original school is revoked, the provincial education administrative department will arrange for it to be transferred to a higher school with the same academic qualifications and related majors to resume school; If the original major is revoked, the school will arrange to transfer to other majors to resume school; Individual learning difficulties, you can apply for an extension of study time; Those who apply for postgraduate courses from junior college to undergraduate course will be given priority under the same conditions. Those who have won the third-class merit award in the army may apply for transfer to other majors in our school, and those who are former junior college students may transfer to the same major or similar majors in our school without examination. They are junior college students in independent colleges, and the school shall report to the provincial education administrative department for arrangement. Those who have won the second-class merit award or above may walk the graduate students of their major without trial after graduation.

VIII. Preferential treatment and resettlement policy: During the service period, the family members of college students who have been approved to join the army enjoy the treatment of military families, and the people's government where their registered permanent residence is located before enrollment will give preferential treatment according to the local regulations on preferential treatment for the families of conscripts. After retiring from active service, college students who are unwilling to return to school shall be accepted by the veterans resettlement agency where their pre-school accounts are located, and the resettlement policy shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of urban retired soldiers. 9. Training and use of joining the army: When determining the direction of college students joining the army, the military service organs should try their best to arrange for them to serve in troops that can give full play to their advantages and expertise to meet the needs of the troops. For outstanding college soldiers, priority is given to learning skills, selecting non-commissioned officers, applying for military schools and directly promoting officers. For college students who return to school after leaving the army, if they are voluntary and meet the relevant conditions, they should be given priority to be selected as national defense students during their studies at school or directly receive supplementary military cadres after graduation.

after hearing the operation signal, each class and platoon will assemble quickly, check their clothes and weapons and equipment, take them to the company assembly field for running, and report to the company attendant. The company watchman arranges the team, checks the number of people, reports to the company head, and the company head or the company watchman leads the team to exercise.

check the dress, appearance and personal hygiene once or twice a week in combination with morning exercises, with each time not exceeding ten minutes. The battalion and the regiment (brigade) organize a meeting exercise once a month.

Tidy up the house and wash your face

In the exercise class, organize carefully according to the plan, listen carefully, operate carefully, observe the discipline in the classroom (training ground and operation field), and prevent accidents.

break between classes (usually 1 minutes per hour for exercises, and the rest time is determined according to the situation during field work and live-fire shooting), and the company attendant will give a rest signal; After the break, signal to continue the class.

siesta (lunch break)

The lunch break is dominated by individuals, but they are not allowed to go out without permission and may not affect others' rest.

extracurricular activities

after dinner, the extracurricular activities are arranged by the company except for two or three times a week (people are not allowed to go out at will).

roll call

The company usually roll call every day, and roll call must be made on rest days and holidays. The roll call was carried out by a company head. Each roll call shall not exceed fifteen minutes.

the roll call is usually conducted in company before going to bed or at other times (it can also be conducted in line). The contents of roll call usually include counting personnel, commenting on life, announcing the next day's work or conveying orders and instructions.

You can put off going to bed the day before the rest day, usually for no more than one hour.
