Brief introduction of Wu Heng town

Wu Heng Township belongs to Yixiu District, Anqing City, Anhui Province. Located outside the north gate of Anqing City, at the northern foot of Dalongshan, it is adjacent to Luoling Town and Yangqiao Town in the east, Dalongshan Town in the south, Yueshan Town in Huaining County in the west and Liangting Township in Huaining County in the northwest. The total area of the township is 48.98 square kilometers, belonging to hilly areas, with a population of 1.8 million. It has jurisdiction over 2 neighborhood committees (Wu Heng and Gong Yue), 3 administrative villages (Yang Ting, Berlin and Hushan) and 167 village (neighborhood) groups. Wu Heng Township originally belonged to Huaining County. In 2005, with the approval of the State Council, the administrative division of Anqing City was adjusted, and Wuheng Township was transferred from Huaining County to Yixiu District of Anqing City.
