Reducing carbon dioxide emissions is the cornerstone of environmental protection today. We can prevent global warming by burning oil and other fuels, developing new energy sources, protecting vegetation and planting trees.

We all know that plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Animals and humans can't live without oxygen, so afforestation is the most direct and effective way to stop carbon dioxide.

Since 1980s, China has called for a nationwide voluntary tree planting campaign. According to statistics, so far, more than16 billion people have participated in the voluntary tree planting campaign and planted about 74 billion trees. In the 40-year struggle against sandstorms, China's forest area has increased by about 13808 standard football fields. Therefore, China is confident to effectively control the emission of carbon dioxide greenhouse gases. By the end of 2020, the emission of greenhouse gases will drop by 48%, fulfilling its commitment to the world ahead of schedule.

In order to protect the environment and prevent climate deterioration, the peak of carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality were put forward at this year's two sessions. China proposes to strive for the peak of carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieve the goal of carbon neutrality by 2060.

Carbon dioxide emissions will gradually fall back after reaching a peak at a certain moment, just like a wavy line. There are peaks and valleys, which are the peaks of carbon dioxide emissions. Continue the afforestation campaign, advocate energy conservation and emission reduction, and use these forms to offset the emissions of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and realize zero emissions of positive and negative offsets. This is carbon neutrality.

In order to achieve this 3060 carbon target, it is necessary to transform the current energy use structure. Encourage the promotion of new energy electric vehicles to replace traditional gasoline-powered vehicles and reduce automobile exhaust emissions. Let clean energy such as wind power generation, water conservancy power generation and solar power generation blossom everywhere in China. Improve the traditional technological process of energy consumption, improve the efficiency of traditional energy use, and use new technologies to escort energy transformation.

We ordinary people can also participate in carbon emission reduction. When you travel, you should give priority to public transport, do a good job in garbage sorting, and make the best use of it. Reduce the use of white garbage and bring your own shopping bags, lunch boxes and other items. Use energy-saving light bulbs, turn off the lights when people leave, do not use disposable goods, do not waste food, and so on. These little things, with the concerted efforts of more than one billion people in Qi Xin, can save a lot of energy, and a trickle can be merged into the sea.
