Changqing Oilfield is a central enterprise, which belongs to the regional oilfield company of China Oil and Gas Co., Ltd., headquartered in Xi City, Shaanxi Province, and operating in Ordos Basin, the second great basin in China, spanning five provinces of Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Mongolia and Shaanxi, with a total exploration area of 370,000 square kilometers.

Yanchang Oilfield is a provincial enterprise managed by Shaanxi Province. It is the only giant petrochemical enterprise in China that is not a central enterprise. It is one of the four domestic enterprises with the qualification of oil and gas exploration and development, and belongs to the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.
