Why did Germany ban Nazi rituals?

It is very severe for the German government to punish Nazi words and deeds by legislation. In Germany, the law to punish such acts can refer to Article 86a of the Criminal Code "Crime of using symbols of unconstitutional organizations", which clearly stipulates that public use of symbols, badges, uniforms, slogans and greetings of any unconstitutional organization will be punished with fixed-term imprisonment or fines, and the Nazi Party was defined as an illegal organization by the allied forces as early as 1945.

Not only is the symbolic gesture of Nazi raising hands regarded as illegal in Germany, but any words and deeds that reverse the verdict for Nazism will be punished by law in Germany. Article 13 of the German Criminal Code "The crime of inciting people" clearly stipulates that publicly praising, denying and beautifying Nazi crimes will be punished with fixed-term imprisonment. It can be said that on the historical issue of Nazi, German law left no room for freedom of speech.
