The founding ceremony of the Xiamen University student baseball team and softball team was grandly held at Yanwu Stadium. Our school’s baseball and softball sports started early. In 1980, we jointly formed a team with Fujian Normal University to play a friendly match with a visiting team from Japan. This is the first college student baseball and softball team in Fujian Province.
