No.8 Mine of Pingdingshan Tianan Coal Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as No.8 Mine of Pingdingshan Coal Industry) is located in the east of Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, with Jiaozhan Mountain in the north, Ping 'an Avenue in the south, Xiangcheng County in Xuchang City in the east, 7 kilometers away from the south expressway, 3 1 1 km away from the urban area and 31national highway in the west, and Meng (Temple). The special railway line in the mining area runs directly from the coal bunker to Tianzhuang centralized distribution station and Pingdingshan East Station of Wuhan Railway Bureau, and is connected with Mengbao Railway. The Kengkou Coal Preparation Plant affiliated to this mine started construction in July 1977, and was handed over to production on February 28th 1985, with an annual washing capacity of 1.8 million tons. No.8 Mine has excellent coal quality and abundant reserves. The coalfield covers an area of 43.8 square kilometers, with a length of 12.5 kilometers from east to west and a width of 3.65 kilometers from north to south. The coal-bearing strata in No.8 Mine are mainly Shihezi Formation of Permian, Shanxi Formation of Carboniferous and Taiyuan Formation. The main minable coal seams are 4th floor of Group 3 of Ding, E and Ji (Ding 5.6, E 9. 10, Ji 15, Ji 16. 17), and the coal seam thickness is 16544. The main coal types are fat coal, 1/3 coking coal, coking coal, low sulfur and phosphorus, ash 15%-36% and calorific value of 20. 1-29. 1 MJ/kg. It is an important raw material and high-quality power coal for metallurgy, electric power and chemical industry, and sells well in Hunan.
