Our school has launched a popular science publicity campaign with the theme of "innovation promotes development, and popular science benefits people's livelihood", which has been successfully concluded. During the popular science publicity week, the school distributed the slogan "The Ninth Popular Science Publicity Week in Xishan District of Wuxi City" to all classes, posted it in the classroom, and played it on the campus electronic screen every morning and evening, creating a strong popular science publicity atmosphere. Focusing on the main work of "energy saving, environmental protection and safety", the teachers and students of the whole school were organized to carry out a series of activities such as lectures on infectious disease prevention, blackboard newspaper publicity and collection of golden ideas. Through activities, students have mastered a lot of knowledge about energy-saving, water-saving, land-saving and resource-saving, and began to consciously turn it into personal actions to contribute to the construction of a harmonious campus.

The specific work is as follows:

1. Publicity work: carry out safety education on earthquake prevention and disaster reduction by speaking under the national flag; Each class uses blackboard newspaper to publicize the slogan of popular science publicity week; During the popular science week, the school uses the big screen to scroll and play slogans every morning and evening.

2. Carry out the "I come up with a golden idea to build a conservation-oriented ecological campus" competition among the teachers and students of the whole school. The competition is divided into two groups: teachers and students. Teachers are organized by trade unions in offices. The results are included in the evaluation system of civilization office this semester. Students take the class as a unit, and their grades are included in the collective evaluation of excellent classes. In many schools, the guidance office and the general affairs office take the lead in actively participating. Around the school's own construction, everyone put forward many excellent golden ideas such as "hanging garden", "rainwater collection system" and "street lamp led transformation". Students are full of wonderful ideas, and a good idea can make adults sit up and take notice. On May 22nd, the school submitted the entries to the Education Bureau on time, and I believe it will achieve better results.

3. In the online popular science contest between Wuxi and Aheqi, the senior students of the whole school were widely mobilized to carry out the popular science contest, and 50 students were selected to answer questions online, and finally they were ranked 13 in the two places. Ranked second in Xishan District.

4. At the same time, we also actively used the opportunity of popular science publicity week to carry out a series of independent activities. For example, leading junior students to visit the school science and technology museum has stimulated their interest in science. A solar auto show was held to let more students know about the magical solar energy and have confidence in the future development of new energy.

Popular science week aims to popularize scientific knowledge, advocate scientific methods, spread scientific ideas and carry forward scientific spirit.
