Whenever they encounter any difficulties, they rely on the belief of "Master Lu You will bless you and everything will be fine" (you have the master to bless you and everything will be fine) to persevere and overcome difficulties. Every year, the village sages from each village take the lead in donating money to sponsor the parade. Some Laoye Palaces also established charity halls to help the poor. Nowadays, young people are working and studying outside their homes; some have bought houses abroad and may not even return to their villages during the Chinese New Year, and their contact with their hometowns is getting less and less.
