Not long ago, the General Offices of the General Office of the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council issued the Opinions on Further Reducing the Students' Homework Burden and Off-campus Training Burden in Compulsory Education (referred to as "Double Reduction Policy"). Because the "double-drop policy" directly hit the utilitarian and short-sighted key points of exam-oriented education, it triggered a strong response from the society, and schools, parents and teachers generally warmly welcomed and supported this important decision of the state.

The "double reduction" policy clearly requires that schools, teachers and parents must reduce the burden of students' homework and off-campus training in compulsory education, and must not assign homework that exceeds the difficulty of national curriculum standards; Do not assign homework to parents or assign homework in disguise; Parents shall not be required to check and correct homework; Teachers are not allowed to make up lessons paid outside the school, especially the first and second grade students in primary schools, and are not allowed to arrange paper-and-pencil exams and written assignments.
