Article 6 of the "Blood Donation Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates:

State agencies, the military, social groups, enterprises and institutions , residents' committees, and villagers' committees should mobilize and organize citizens of appropriate age in their own units and residential areas to participate in blood donation. The mobilization and organization methods for blood donation by active servicemen shall be formulated by the health authorities of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Blood donors will be issued a voluntary blood donation certificate produced by the health administration department of the State Council, and relevant units may provide appropriate subsidies.

Article 9 of the "Blood Donation Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates:

Blood stations must conduct necessary health examinations for blood donors free of charge; those whose physical condition does not meet the conditions for blood donation , the blood station shall explain the situation to them and shall not collect blood. The physical health conditions of blood donors are stipulated by the health administrative department of the State Council. The amount of blood collected by blood stations from blood donors is generally 200 ml each time, and the maximum amount shall not exceed 400 ml. The interval between two collections shall not be less than six months. It is strictly prohibited for blood stations to violate the provisions of the preceding paragraph by excessively and frequently collecting blood from blood donors.

Article 11 stipulates: Blood from voluntary blood donations must be used for clinical purposes and may not be bought or sold. Blood stations and medical institutions are not allowed to sell blood from voluntary blood donations to plasma collection stations or blood product production units.
