Introduction to Leninist Street

"Leninism Street" is located in Shiqiao Ancient Town, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, an old revolutionary area. On September 30, 1933, the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army marched south to liberate the ancient town of Shiqiao, mobilized workers and peasants, attacked the local tyrants, and divided the fields. They inscribed on the four archways built in the Qing Dynasty in the ancient town "Support the Red Army, Expand the Red Army" and " Propaganda slogans such as "Oppose warlord chaos" and "Down with Kuomintang rule and establish Soviet power". Among them, on the most spectacular archway, the Red Army carved the words "Leninism Street". In order to highlight the revolutionary mentor of the proletariat, the two characters "Lenin" are written horizontally, each character is about 1 meter square, and the three characters "Zhuism Street" are slightly smaller and written straight. After that, the Red Army went north to resist Japan, and the White Army occupied Shiqiao Town. The revolutionary slogans written by the Red Army soldiers with their blood and lives were covered up by the masses with lime. After the founding of New China, the slogans of the Red Army reappeared and shined brightly. Although the word "Lenin" has been eroded by wind, frost, rain and snow for more than 70 years, it is still strong, powerful and radiant.
