Worried about Russia's uncontrollable populist tendency, the Constitutional Democratic Party advocates slowing down the democratic process, which has aroused the dissatisfaction of the Social Revolutionary Party and the Social Democratic Party.

The two parties generally demanded that the interim government start the election of the Constituent Assembly as soon as possible, abolish the land reform and withdraw from the First World War.

Among them, the Bolsheviks represented by Lenin have a high voice. Bolsheviks encouraged frontline soldiers to return home from the war and actively promoted constitutional democracy among the people. Lenin once supported constitutionalism. He said that even if the Bolsheviks lost the election, they would obey the people's choice.
