What does predicative mean in English?
Predicative expressions in English have the following meanings.
1. In terms of meaning, predicates are grammatical components that answer the subject "what" or "how".
2. It modifies the subject, and the predicate is used to explain the identity, nature, character, characteristics and status of the subject. The predicate must be combined with the linking verb to form the compound predicate of the sentence. Predicates are often played by nouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositional phrases, infinitives, verb-ing, and clauses. They are often placed after linking verbs.
