"Welcome to Maile Village" tells the story of the Chinese foreign aid medical team represented by Ma Jia, Jiang Daqiao, Wu Mei and others who rescued lives and wounded in Africa and established deep friendship with the local people.

When Ma Jia, a doctor from the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University, suffered setbacks in her work and marriage, she happened to join the 25th batch of foreign aid medical teams in Yuanjiang Province and went to Sanna, Africa. Faced with completely different environments and huge cultural differences between China and Africa, Ma Jia overcame practical difficulties step by step between persistence and giving up.
