Dixon tried many different fabrics to cover the tape, hoping to find a material that is not difficult to peel off when needed. Later, he found that a rough hard gauze could accomplish this task well, and it was widely used after the company improved it.

Precautions:

Putting a band-aid on a wound doesn't mean "everything is fine", and you can't stick it on the wound for a long time and ignore it.

The correct method:

First, we should pay attention to the changes in the wound. If the wound feels "pulsating pain" similar to pulse beating or secretion overflows after using the band-aid for 24 hours, you should open the band-aid in time to observe whether there is redness, swelling and heat pain around the wound. If so, it means that the wound has been infected and should be treated by a doctor immediately.

The second is to pay attention to protecting the wound. After using the band-aid, don't always pinch the wound with your hands, and the local part of the wound should move as little as possible to prevent collision and crack. Third, the band-aid should not be used for too long, otherwise it will breed bacteria and should be replaced every day.
