Neijiang is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, located in the southeast of Sichuan Basin and in the middle of the lower reaches of Tuojiang River. It was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty and was once called Han 'an. It governs 2 districts and 2 counties, manages 1 county-level city, and covers an area of 5384.8 square kilometers.

Neijiang is located in the centers of Chengdu and Chongqing, one of the national key transportation hubs, an important intersection of the Belt and Road, the second largest transportation hub in Sichuan and the southwest land transportation hub [39];

Neijiang has beautiful scenery and many places of interest, including Longchang Ancient Paifang Group, Shui Sheng Temple, Xilin Temple, Cliff Carving in Chonglongshan, Guanyin in Tolin Temple, Zizhong Confucian Temple, the first of the "Four Great Confucian Temples in Bashu", and Zizhong Wushu Temple, which was built in Ming Dynasty.

And Weiyuan dome landform, karst wonders, Holy Spirit Cave, Sweet City Lake with nine bends and eighteen bends, Guyu Lake, a bird-watching base, and other cultural and natural landscapes; Neijiang is the hometown of Chang Hong, a teacher of Confucius, and Zhang Daqian, a master of Chinese painting.
