Brief introduction of Shekou Port

Shekou Port is located on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary and at the southern end of Nantou Peninsula in western Shenzhen. It is the first national first-class port built, managed and operated by an enterprise in China after the reform and opening up. The port started construction in August 1979, and was opened to the outside world with the approval of the state in September 198 1.
