Can the village Committee recover the contracted land after abandoning farmland? What are the rules?

If the land is abandoned or cultivated, the village Committee may recover the contracted land after reaching a certain number of years.

According to Article 37 of the Land Management Law, it is forbidden for any unit or individual to idle or desert cultivated land. If a unit or individual contracted to manage cultivated land abandoned cultivated land for two consecutive years, the original contractor shall terminate the contract and recover the contracted cultivated land.
