Since the beginning of winter, local cases of COVID-19 have appeared in many places in China. The epidemic prevention and control situation is complex and severe. The task of "preventing external imports and domestic rebound" is arduous. The risk of local clusters of epidemics on campus has increased. In order to effectively protect the health of students, effectively maintain social harmony and stability, and make every effort to build a strong school epidemic defense line, the following suggestions are proposed to parents of primary and secondary schools in the city:

1. Enhance protection awareness and develop good habits. Parents are asked to cooperate with school education and remind their children to strengthen self-protection, avoid going or try to go as little as possible to crowded places with poor air circulation, wear masks regularly when in closed places such as public transportation, elevators, etc., and develop a healthy attitude. And maintain hygiene habits and lifestyles such as frequent hand washing, "one meter noodle", serving chopsticks, sharing meals, and covering coughs and sneezes.

2. Do a good job in health monitoring and build a defense line for home and school. Parents are asked to pay attention to their children's health status every day. If they find that their children have fever, vomiting, cough, diarrhea and other physical discomforts, they should take their children to a regular hospital for treatment and report to the class teacher as soon as possible. During the winter vacation, please continue to report the daily health status of your children and family members to the school through "DingTalk Health Check-in" and other channels.

3. Consciously abide by the regulations and arrange travel reasonably. Consciously abide by national, provincial, and municipal policies and requirements on epidemic prevention and control, and advocate taking holidays in the place of residence for the holidays, not leaving the province unless necessary, and not traveling to medium- and high-risk areas abroad or domestically, as well as the districts and cities where they are located. It is recommended not to visit each other to pay New Year greetings during the Spring Festival, but to use non-contact New Year greetings such as video and phone calls, and to try not to participate in large dinner parties. If family members have a history of traveling to or contacting people in areas with severe epidemics, they should proactively report to schools and communities, and strictly implement measures such as isolation observation and nucleic acid testing in accordance with epidemic prevention requirements to create a safe living environment for their children.

4. Pay attention to personal precautions and be careful when purchasing cold chain foods. To prevent the epidemic from being imported through cold chain food and express delivery, you must wear disposable gloves and disinfect the outer packaging with alcohol before opening the express package. When purchasing frozen food, you must go to regular supermarkets. When buying New Year’s goods, try to avoid online shopping from medium- and high-risk areas and from outside the country (overseas).

5. Strengthen physical exercise and pay attention to mental health. Parents are asked to educate and guide their children to strengthen physical exercise and outdoor activities, enhance the body's resistance, and prevent the occurrence and development of common diseases such as infectious diseases and myopia. We should pay more attention to children's mental health, encourage parents to accompany their children to read and communicate together, guide their children to do housework to the best of their ability, and arrange family parent-child activities so that children can always maintain a positive and good attitude.

6. Advocate independent learning and pay attention to environmental hygiene. During the winter vacation, please guide your children to make good use of national, provincial and municipal teaching resources such as the "Lianyungang Smart Education Cloud Platform" to improve their independent learning abilities. If it is really necessary to study in a social training institution, parents should pay attention to check whether the environment is hygienic and whether epidemic prevention measures such as personnel control, ventilation and disinfection are in place.
