About choosing a school and choosing a major, what I wanted at that time was to decide the major first and then the school. When I think of postgraduate entrance examination in my mind, I will first ask myself what major I want to take, and whether I want to cross majors. My first intention is to take the Master of Laws (Illegal Studies) major. Because I haven't been exposed to this knowledge and courses before, my classmates and I plan to attend courses for law students. After listening to a class, I dropped out. The professional style was not my favorite at all, and my first professional intention ran aground. The second intention major is normal school. My request for myself is that since I want to take the normal school, I should take the best Beijing Normal University or East China Normal University, but I gave up after looking up a lot of information about these two schools (English teaching in Beijing Normal University is in Zhuhai campus, and accommodation is not provided, so the difficulty coefficient of East China Normal University is a bit difficult to control).

School introduction

China Communication University (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongchuan"), located in Beijing, is an industry-specific university in the field of information and communication directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), a national "world-class discipline construction university" and a national "2 1 1 project" key construction university. Training requirements

Students in this major mainly study basic theories and knowledge of English language, literature, history, politics, economy, diplomacy, social culture and so on. The third major is English broadcasting. When I found the English broadcasting major in Communication University of China, my eyes lit up and I thought it was tailor-made for me. Because Nakagawa 2 1 1 is located in the imperial city, English broadcasting and other factors, we can't transfer the target any more, so we bought materials to prepare. English broadcasting is the direction of English language and literature, and it is necessary to prepare linguistics, British and American literature, second language and other subjects. During the winter vacation of my junior year, I began to review French until April of the next semester of my junior year. It is like a bolt from the blue to learn that Zhongchuan has cancelled the English broadcasting major, and it needs to be readjusted. There are only less than eight months left before the postgraduate entrance examination, and it will be very complicated and difficult to readjust institutions and majors. Because I like Nakagawa School very much, I don't plan to transfer institutions. I just found my major in the same school and later decided to translate English. The reason is that I don't need to cross the exam, the exam subjects are easy to prepare, and I feel that I have a good foundation, so I finally decided to go to China Communication University.

Let's introduce the relevant situation of MTI in China. English translation has two directions: news translation and film translation. Examination subjects, like other schools, specialized courses are independent propositions. The school began to reform from 2 1 1, instead of deciding whether students can enter the second interview according to the initial test results, it quantified the performance of candidates in the undergraduate stage to decide whether candidates are suitable for graduate school. The test is not difficult, mainly to examine students' language foundation and usual knowledge accumulation. Compared with other foreign language colleges, the competition of CCCC is slightly less, but judging from the enrollment situation in recent years, more and more candidates begin to focus on the MTI major of CCCC. 2 1 1, the characteristics of the imperial capital and the media will certainly attract more and more candidates. Second, review experience for the first time.

Except for politics, the other three postgraduate exams are professional courses, including 2 1 1 Translation of Master's English, 357 Basic English Translation, 448 Chinese Writing and Encyclopedia Knowledge.

Among them, "Fundamentals of English Translation" is the most time-consuming course, and this course will be put on the agenda from the beginning of preparation. Translation requires not only memorizing specific expressions, but also a process of digesting, absorbing and reusing translation skills. In other words, even if you can complete your translation skills in a week or so, and even remember a lot of translation expressions, your translation level will not improve and you will not get high marks in the exam without a certain period of hands-on practice and understanding. Therefore, it is very important to maintain a certain amount of translation and feel every day. The bibliography includes but is not limited to Twelve Days of English-Chinese Translation Breakthrough, A Concise English-Chinese Translation Course, and A Comparative Study of English and Chinese. While preparing the translation foundation, preparing to translate master's English can quickly enrich vocabulary, improve reading comprehension and keep familiar with English. Practical writing is easier to prepare, and it is also the most operational and easy to get points in encyclopedia. You can find all kinds of stylistic formats by yourself, such as speeches, newsletters, invitations, apologies and so on. In recent years, Nakagawa has only investigated two kinds: communication and speech. The big composition is similar to the 800-word composition of the college entrance examination, which is true, but there are still differences. After all, this is a postgraduate exam, not a senior high school exam, which has different requirements for students' vision, life experience and thinking logic. The multiple-choice questions mainly prepare news and current affairs, and the explanations can pay attention to China's traditional culture and foreign literature knowledge.

Finally, the ideological and political theory. Because I am a liberal arts student, I began to review politics from 10. If you are a science student or have a poor philosophy, it is recommended to prepare early, because the philosophical content needs to be digested. But there is absolutely no need to engage in politics from the beginning. I first revived the knowledge of senior three with Xiao Xiurong's exquisite lectures, and then focused on multiple-choice questions. I have to do all kinds of multiple-choice questions and remember them. If you want to widen the gap with others in this subject, solving multiple-choice questions is the only way, because there are only a few big questions that everyone will recite. The preparation process for the initial test is long and tense. However, I suggest that everyone get enough sleep, and it is not recommended to get up too early or go to bed too late. In addition, you must not give up! By June 165438+ 10, many girls in our class had given up. At that time, it was a hot time for recruitment in autumn. Every time I go to the study room, I can see many recruitment seminars of enterprises, and I can't help but look at them. However, it should be said here that attending classes is not to give up the postgraduate entrance examination, nor to delay the review. There is no harm in making preparations twice. Although it is the easiest time to shake, we must persist!

Third, the second interview preparation

In 2020, the Nakagawa retest line scored 375 points, with about 40 people crossing the line and about 30 people admitted. The enrollment rate is actually quite high. Because of the epidemic, in the past two years, the second interview of Zhongchuan was conducted online. Relatively speaking, online re-examination will be a little easier than offline. First of all, the assessment of visual translation was cancelled, because it is not realistic to assess visual translation ability online. Next, I will talk about the process and precautions of online re-examination.

Process: After entering the conference room, draw lots (answer common English questions) and then introduce yourself in English. Followed by professional evaluation. Visual translation has become listening translation, listening to Chinese and English text paragraphs respectively, and then oral translation. Next, the teacher will ask questions according to the submitted personal data, including the submitted resume and undergraduate thesis. The questions asked by the teacher here have a lot to do with the candidates' undergraduate majors and undergraduate papers. Because my thesis is related to translation, I was asked many questions about translation theory and practice.

Professional interview: prepare resume+copy of award certificate, bind it, and submit the admission plan (after memorizing so many theories, no one asked this question at last). After I went in, I introduced myself, then I read an article, translated it, and then I was asked some questions about your choice of direction, such as "Have you translated movies yourself before?" "How much do you know about film translation?" There are also some professional questions such as "how to translate a smart woman without rice." During the second interview, the level difference between us is not too big, and it is more important to have a good attitude. The teacher is very kind. He won't admit it modestly, nor will he embarrass us.

Fourth, the last message.

Postgraduate entrance examination is a protracted war. No matter whether it starts early or late, only those who persist to the end and finish the last test paper are eligible to win. The sadness and collapse in the process of postgraduate entrance examination is something that every postgraduate will experience. You can be sad, you can cry, you can collapse, but you can't give up!
