Agricultural Status of Taohai Sumu in Baiyin
65% of the land in Taohai Sumu, Baiyin is sandy, but this piece of Sumu, which is mostly sandy, mainly grows rice. While building water conservancy projects, they used the advantage that the Laoha River runs through the whole territory to control 6,543,805 mu of sandy paddy fields, making it the largest rice planting area in the whole flag and even the whole city. The rice planted along the winding Laoha River is growing happily, and full of green is endless. Hard-working farmers and herdsmen are busy in rice fields. The blue sky, clear river and green rice fields complement each other, which is a beautiful scenery like a water town in the south of the Yangtze River. There are also Ashhansumu and Wudun Taohai towns, which also magically dug 6000 mu and 55000 mu of rice fields in Shawozi respectively. Herdsmen used to eat mainly meat and millet, but now they can eat glistening rice every day. An official of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission expressed his feelings of "three unexpected" and "three unique" when he visited the local area: I didn't expect herders to grow rice, which was unique; I didn't expect that rice can also be planted in pastoral areas. I didn't expect rice to grow in the sand. These are the three wonders.
Sumu, Tao Hai, Baiyin, not only develops sandy rice on a large scale, but also focuses on sandy rice, vigorously implements the development strategy of organic rich villages and adopts the business model of "company+base+farmers", which makes the planting scale of organic rice in sandy land continuously expand, reaching more than 20,000 mu at present, and is known as "the first township of organic agriculture in China". In the paddy field, we interviewed a farmer named Luo Fuzhong and talked about the benefits of organic rice. Mr. Luo walked over and opened his mouth. He told reporters that the rice planted in the sand itself is big, full and sweet, while the organic rice planted in the sand is more delicious. The market price of organic rice is about 1 yuan higher than that of ordinary rice. He started planting organic rice from 1999, and planted 5 mu of land in the first year. By the end of the year, his income per mu was higher than that of ordinary rice and close to that of 500 yuan. After he tasted the sweetness, it developed to 10 mu in the second year and 15 mu in 2006. He is happy to say that his net income will reach more than 20 thousand yuan every year by planting organic rice alone. From 1998, Baiyintao Haisumu Heiyupaozi Village planted organic rice, and then set up leading enterprises, and implemented the industrialized management mode of "company+base+farmers", thus embarking on a road of "farmers seeking organic and getting rich organically". This village has not only become "the first village of organic rice in northern China", but also triggered and promoted the vigorous development of organic agriculture in the whole flag, becoming a banner for the development of organic agriculture in the whole city and even in the autonomous region. However, it is incredible that all this happened in the once barren sand. Driven by leading enterprises, Heiyupaozi Village has realized the comprehensive management of "integration of agriculture, industry and trade, and one-stop production, supply and marketing". Growers not only do not bear market risks, but also benefit from the value-added processing and circulation of agricultural products at home. Ordinary rice per catty 1 yuan and organic rice per catty 1.8 yuan to 2 yuan has become an important way for farmers and herdsmen to increase their income. The "Huankang" brand organic rice registered by the company in the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has been sold to more than a dozen large and medium-sized cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang and Nanjing. Every year, the organic rice sold by group purchase reaches more than 6.5438+0.4 thousand Jin, and the per capita income of the whole village has increased from 654.38+0.998 in 900 yuan to more than 3,900 yuan in 2007. It is particularly worth mentioning that more than 50 rice processing enterprises in Wengniute Banner have continuously introduced new equipment such as rice polishing and packaging, and changed from rough processing to deep processing. Hongshan District and other places have also set up a "Yutian Gao" brand rice direct selling office, which is planted and produced in Taohai Town, Wu Dun. The industrial and commercial department trained Yutian high-brand rice brokers to ensure the brand effect of Yutian high-brand rice. "Yutian cake" brand rice has also entered supermarkets in big cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
The good development momentum of sand rice in Wengniute Banner is inseparable from its insistence on taking sand rice as an important strategy for industrial structure adjustment in the eastern sand area and as the main way for farmers and herdsmen to increase their income and get rich. They tied the funds for agricultural development with those for commodity grain bases to develop sand rice projects, with an investment of nearly 1,000 yuan per mu. In order to improve the utilization rate of land, they insisted on popularizing new varieties and planting in dry land, and adopted a series of measures to save water and fertilizer, which promoted the increase of rice yield. In view of the fact that the sandy area is sparsely populated and labor intensive, they vigorously develop mechanized planting through agricultural machinery subsidies and other projects. Now, 60% of transplanting and 40% of harvesting in the whole flag are accomplished by mechanization.
Xu Yongsheng, director of the Banner Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, said that from the 1980s to the mid-1990s, the whole banner focused on developing sand rice areas, and in the mid-1990s, it focused on developing sand rice products and made every effort to build an organic rice brand. At present, the area of organic rice in the whole flag has reached 80,000 mu. Xu Yongsheng happily told reporters that Shami also promoted the development of other industries. Paddy fields can be used to raise ducks and crabs, and straw can be used to feed cattle and weave straw curtains, mattresses and other items. At present, there are four enterprises in the whole banner specializing in the processing and production of straw curtains and mattresses, which not only have good sales and considerable benefits, but also some surplus laborers in agricultural and pastoral areas have found jobs at their doorsteps. Next, they will introduce a corrugated paper factory with an annual processing capacity of 6.5438+0.5 million tons of straw.
