Du Mu has a poem that says: "The broken halberd has fallen into the sand and the iron has not faded away. I will recognize the former dynasty after being washed away. This poem is titled " The quatrains of "Red Cliff" were written by the author considering Chibiji outside the city of Huanggang (ancient Huangzhou) as an ancient battlefield. When Su Dongpo in the Northern Song Dynasty was demoted to Huangzhou to serve as the deputy envoy of the regiment training, he also mistook the Red Biji in Huangzhou for Red Cliff, because the rock wall here was vertical and red, as if it had been burned by a fire. Su Shi wrote here the poems "Chibi Fu" and "Chibi Nostalgia" that have been passed down through the ages.
