Political events in Changbai Mountain Daily

Jin Minzhen, Quan Zhishu, Chun-Sa Byun, Chen Shanyou and Zheng Enzhu, Korean women runners who won the second place, suddenly spread out seven A4 pieces of paper and quoted the slogan "Baitou Mountain is our territory" at the awarding ceremony of the women's 3000m relay race in the 6th Asian Winter Games on February 6th, 2007.

On the evening of February 1 Sunday-1March 3 1 Sunday, Director-General Hussein of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) issued a serious warning to the Korean delegation about the political slogans played by Korean athletes at the women's 3km relay ceremony of the 6th Asian Winter Games.

On the afternoon of the same day, Hussain, Director-General of the Olympic Council of Asia, and officials of the Asian Winter Games Organizing Committee and the Chinese Olympic Committee met with the South Korean delegation urgently, and made solemn representations and strong protests to the South Korean side on this matter, pointing out that the Korean athlete's move seriously violated the constitution and rules of the Olympic Council of Asia and asked the South Korean side to warn the athlete that he would be disqualified if such incidents occurred again. I hope that the ROK will apologize for this matter and ensure that similar incidents will not happen again.

The head of the Korean delegation has apologized to the Olympic Council of Asia, the Asian Winter Games Organizing Committee and the Chinese Olympic Committee, and promised that such incidents will never happen in the future.
