What is your thought report after visiting the Zunyi Conference Site and the Red Army Mountain Martyrs Cemetery?

The spirit of the Red Army urges me to move forward - my thoughts after visiting the former site of the Zunyi Conference

In the golden autumn of October, the sky is high and the air is crisp, and the sweet osmanthus is fragrant. As the whole country celebrates the 55th anniversary of the founding of the great motherland, our 38 college student "Western Plan" volunteers serving in Shiqian, Guizhou have reverence for the revolutionary ancestors and Red Army martyrs, and deep affection for the old revolutionary base areas. , with the heartfelt support of the Shiqian County Committee of the Communist Youth League, on October 1st, we conducted an extraordinary trip to the Red Holy Land - Zunyi.

When you set foot on the red land of Zunyi, even though the city is filled with flowers and colorful flags, the vicissitudes and richness of its history and culture are still awe-inspiring. Following the tour guide, we visited several revolutionary memorial sites such as the Zunyi Conference site, the former site of the General Political Department of the Red Army, Chairman Mao’s former residence, and the Red Army Martyrs Cemetery.

Seeing the offices and residences used by Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Peng Dehuai, Liu Shaoqi, Deng Xiaoping and the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, we who lived in happy and beautiful conditions felt extremely guilty in our hearts. The offices of the revolutionary ancestors were also their residences, and their living and office supplies were so simple: canopy beds, white coarse cloth sheets, gray thin quilts, coffee tables, lanterns, bamboo hats, bamboo brushes, etc. Even when the nation was in danger, the Zunyi conference room that saved the party and the Red Army at a critical moment was only 27 square meters. Such a space was crowded with two wall cabinets, a wall clock, and a foreign oil lamp. A brazier for burning charcoal, a chestnut-colored rectangular table and twenty folding chairs with wooden frames and rattan edges. However, under such difficult conditions, our revolutionary ancestors strategized here, deployed the Red Army to get rid of the Kuomintang's encirclement and interception, and led the party and the Red Army to the front of victory.

While still amazed, the exhibition of the General Political Department of the Red Army made people feel emotional again. Looking at a few brown ropes, a few wooden planks, and a pair of bamboo rafts in front of us, we seemed to see the heroic feat of the Red Army braving enemy artillery fire to cross the Wujiang River; the intricate multimedia exhibition of the four crossings of Chishui fully demonstrated our great leader The glorious sports war under Chairman Mao's wisdom; as well as the slogans left on the wooden boards and the charity performances carried out by the Red Army for the people, all reflect the relationship between the Red Army and the people at that time. The most historic ones are the twenty precious photos of the revolutionary ancestors who participated in the Zunyi Conference. Their faces are so thin. It can be imagined that in the arduous years of revolutionary struggle, our revolutionary ancestors were sleeping and eating. , worked hard. Despite the difficult living conditions, they are full of energy and have firm eyes, which makes people even more admirable.

Loyal bones are buried in the green mountains, and meritorious deeds are recorded in the annals of history. Walking into the Red Army Martyrs Cemetery with heavy steps, a majestic monument to the Red Army Martyrs came into view. The eight gold-plated characters "The Red Army Martyrs Live Immortal" personally written by Comrade Deng Xiaoping shone brightly in the bright sun. Climbing up the stairs, we can see the tomb of Dengping among the green pines and cypresses, the tomb of the Red Army surrounded by flowers... The resounding names of martyrs on the monument all bring our thoughts back to the bloody battle of the Red Army seventy years ago. Because of them, the bright red five-star red flag is even more brilliant; because of them, the People's Republic of China has crossed Chishui four times in the history of the People's Republic of China. At that moment, our hearts felt the tragedy of blood and fire, the passion of turning things around, and the hardships and sufferings we have gone through in our beautiful life today.

Standing on the red soil of the cemetery, my heart could not be calm for a long time. Our revolutionary ancestors, our Red Army, sacrificed their lives and shed blood under such difficult conditions in order to lead the Chinese people from dire straits to victory. How great they are; and when I originally chose to volunteer to serve in the West, I was late. Chi was hesitant, afraid of the harsh environment and difficult living conditions in the west, and suddenly realized how selfish he was.

The "Western Plan" for college student volunteer service has been implemented for one year. During this period, some volunteers complained about the difficult conditions in the western region. It is true that the conditions in the west are difficult, but we are living in the west of the motherland and building the motherland in a bright and peaceful environment that the Red Army sacrificed its blood and lives for. We have no reason to complain about the difficult conditions in the west, and we have no reason to shrink from the wave of construction in the west.

The only condition that can be said is to work harder and use your intelligence and talents to do something tangible for the people of the western region. Only in this way will you be worthy of our revolutionary ancestors, worthy of our Red Army martyrs, and worthy of the expectations of the western people. Worthy of the high expectations of the motherland.

May the volunteers take over the torch of the Red Army and let the spirit of volunteering be passed down forever!
