For me, Zhanjiang is a beautiful city on the coast of the South China Sea: with vast ocean, quiet sea breeze, white sand beach, bright sunshine and intelligent and hardworking people, this is my favorite hometown. Meet the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland. In August this year, the 6th Guangdong Universiade was held in Zhanjiang Normal University.

As a member of the college swimming team, I have the honor to participate in the Universiade every four years on behalf of the college. It is more meaningful for me to return to my hometown to participate.

I embarked on a journey with my teammates with excitement. How many difficulties have we overcome in one year's training: the training hardware of the college can't keep up-we don't have our own swimming pool, so training in Baogang Swimming Pool must obey the schedule of the leaders; Most of our players are amateur swimmers, which shows that we must train harder than others if we want to get good grades. As long as we know how much sweat and effort we have made this year-swimming is a very tired exercise, and the sweat is all in the water and can't be seen. At noon, when other students finish class and go to the dining hall to eat delicious food, we are ready to start our training by the pool; While other students were taking a lunch break to recharge their batteries for the afternoon class, we continued to train in the swimming pool. After the training, before we have a rest, we will take our textbooks to the afternoon class. In winter, we didn't stop training, even during the terrible SARS period, we didn't give up and insisted on training. Sweat and hard work have almost become a compulsory course for us every day. However, we don't cry hard or tired, because we know that flowers and applause must be exchanged for sweat and hard work. That's it. We encouraged each other, shoulder to shoulder, with sweat, efforts and laughter, step by step through an unforgettable year.

Today (August 3rd), we will go to the stadium. In the next few days, we will fight for the honor of the school and individuals, and let our youth burn in sports.

Back in Zhanjiang, I came to Zhanjiang Normal University, and there was a festive atmosphere everywhere: red flowers and green trees, flying balloons everywhere, and slogans and banners hanging on the buildings. It shows that Zhanjiang Municipal Government and Zhanjiang Teachers College attach great importance to the Universiade and regard the success of the Universiade as a major event for the municipal government and college.

Soon, we were arranged to live in the student dormitory of Zhanjiang Normal University. The four-person dormitory has bright windows, and each floor of the dormitory has a service desk and service staff arranged by the Universiade Organizing Committee to provide us with daily services and solve our daily difficulties. Zhanjiang Normal University, as the host, recruited more than 2,000 students as volunteers for the Universiade. During the Universiade, volunteers will provide the most enthusiastic service for coaches, team leaders and athletes.

Speaking of Universiade volunteers, I have many feelings. It can be said that they are the most lovely people during the Universiade. They can be team liaison, logistics support team members, journalists or stadium staff. They shuttled through various competition venues, athletes' residences and delegation headquarters, and it was "difficult to find volunteers". Every coach, team leader and athlete was sincerely satisfied with their warm and thoughtful service. Because of their unremitting efforts, our games can go smoothly and our athletes can get good results.

If our athletes participate in the Universiade, they are fighting for the honor of the school and individuals, and they are letting their youth burn in sports. Then, our volunteers participated in and contributed to the Universiade, showing the enthusiasm, hospitality and responsibility of Zhanjiang people and teachers and students of Zhanjiang Normal University. They also won honors for themselves and the school. Aren't they the loveliest people in this Universiade?

Go beyond yourself and show your elegance.

There is always an atmosphere that excites you, and there is always a spirit that moves you. There are cheers, applause and flowers here. This is the swimming venue of the 6th Universiade in Guangdong Province. On August 6th, the Universiade swimming competition started in the swimming pool of Zhanjiang Normal University. 573 athletes from 4 1 universities will be divided into four groups (Group A, Group A, Group B and Group C) to compete for 142 gold medals in six days.

In order to prepare for the Universiade, we trained for a whole year. Today, it's finally time to surpass yourself and show yourself. Compared with other universities, such as CUHK, South China University of Technology and Jinan University, our university swimming team has only nine athletes, but we will try our best to exert our strength in training and win honors and applause for our college and ourselves.

Due to the gap between the strength and level of athletes in established universities, our athletes in Group A have worked hard in the competition and achieved the best results, but for us, the result of the competition is not important, what matters is the process, we have worked hard, we have worked hard, and we are worthy of ourselves. We are very proud to have the opportunity to represent our college in the provincial Universiade!

Although there are only four women in the swimming team of our college to participate in the B-A competition, there are not many soldiers, but they are only elites. In the competition, they were aggressive, played their highest level, played their best style and achieved good results. They won 65 points and two trophies for the college. The women's group B finished sixth and the group B finished seventh, which won the honor for the college.

Forever memory

During the six-day competition, the swimming pool of Zhanjiang Normal University was always filled with smoke, and all kinds of masters from various universities showed their own style. How many spectators cheered for the stirring spray; Hard-won medals, flowers and applause touched many athletes. Now the drums are fading away, the thunderous applause at the entrance, and the warm cheers and applause at the sports meeting are far away from me, leaving me with an eternal memory-"Youth, vitality and ocean" is the slogan of this Universiade. It is our youth that burns. It is our vitality that jumps, and the blue of the ocean is my favorite swimming.

Participating in the Universiade every four years is an unforgettable memory. No matter victory or failure, it can bring us some insights, get exercise from it, raise personal quality to a higher position, and show the elegance of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical People.
