6. The sun rises in the center of the logo. The radiant light symbolizes the vitality and bright future of China Petroleum Corporation.

Coincidentally, the main designer of PetroChina’s new logo was also the designer of the “China Seal” for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

China National Petroleum Corporation has established a Brand Management Committee with an office responsible for the planning, management and rights protection of the brand image. The new logo is not only refreshing, but also has strict requirements on color composition, placement, etc. For example, the logo combination follows the "first on the left principle", and the convenience store packaging follows the "modular" principle, etc. Standardization and unity are reflected everywhere. The height and image of the light box are also designed in accordance with international advanced plans. The current column light box is 7 meters high, which is in line with the best visual height: the light box is beautiful at the same time. Energy saving was also taken into consideration. The light-emitting parts can be controlled at different times. For example, only the text part can be illuminated and other parts cannot be lit; the whole body can be illuminated on holidays, and only the logo part can be illuminated after 10:00 pm.

After the new logo was born, PetroChina Sales System will complete the packaging of 5,000 gas stations by the end of 2005, and complete the packaging of all gas stations by 2008.
