The capital of Shandong Province is Jinan.

Jinan, also known as Quancheng, qi zhou and Luoyi, is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital, sub-provincial city and megacity under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province. By 2022, the whole city will administer 10 districts and 2 counties with a total area of 10244.45 square kilometers.

Jinan is located in eastern China, central and western Shandong and the southeast edge of North China Plain. Jinan's topography is high in the south and low in the north, followed by low hills, piedmont sloping plains and Yellow River alluvial plains.
