Zhangye, Gansu: The "Nine Bends of the Yellow River Lantern Array" lights up and tens of thousands of tourists watch the lanterns to receive blessings

On the night of February 23, 2021 (the twelfth day of the first lunar month), the Wulan Ancient Town Scenic Area, located in Gucheng Village, Jiantan Town, Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is a 4A-level scenic spot with bright lanterns and the world’s largest lantern array. The "Nine Bends of the Yellow River Lantern Array" was grandly turned on, and the "Golden Ox Receiving Blessings - 'Ox' Turns the World" event was launched. Tens of thousands of tourists watched the lanterns and received blessings. The scene was extremely spectacular.

The "Nine Bends of the Yellow River Lantern Array" is a historical and cultural heritage that has been passed down in the ancient city village for thousands of years. and the Nine Great Wishes as the main components. There are 365 flags in the array, white, green, red, black and yellow flags based on the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire and earth, and 365 lanterns. Under its banner, it represents 365 industries or 365 days, protects the people, and has a strong mythological color. It is now a provincial intangible cultural heritage project and is recognized by the Guinness Headquarters of Shanghai World as the largest light array in China.
