The Historical Evolution of Licheng Street

Chengguan Town was built in 196 1, and 198 1 was renamed Licheng Town. 1997, with an area of 4.8 square kilometers and a population of 45,000, governs six neighborhood committees including Hongqiao, Mulan, Cross, Inner City, Nanqiao and Liukeng. In 2002, Licheng Town was abolished and Licheng Street was established. It has jurisdiction over 6 neighborhood committees of Mulan, Shizi, Hongqiao, Chengnei, Nanqiao and Tang Xian in Licheng Town, 9 administrative villages of Balong, Longquan, Yujing, Laiyang, Feishan, Dongmen, Wanfu, Beibaofeng and Fuyang in Chengdong Town (among which 4 administrative villages of Ba Long, Longquan, Dongmen and Beibaofeng were changed into neighborhood committees) and Jinjing and Daji Town. At the same time, Liukeng Neighborhood Committee of Licheng Town will be included in Linan Town.
