The situation of impoverished primary schools in western China

In Australia, I have never known what poverty is, because all I know are people who earn tens of thousands of dollars just by reading newspapers at work every day. Beggars live in shelters and have no worries about food and clothing. Children pay little money almost exclusively during their college years. But when I arrived in China, my feelings changed.

I still remember that when I first got off the plane, a mineral water bottle in my hand was snatched by several old Chinese ladies. Their skin was dark, and one old woman seemed to be sick. I couldn't help but burst into tears, so I gave her $20. This was the first time I saw poor people.

Later, the school organized a trip to a mountainous area. The children in the mountainous area are really miserable. They write on the coffins and draw on the land. There were no stools, so they sat on rocks. There was no bed, so they slept on the table.

Some people in China are really over the top. They just buy villas and travel abroad if they have a million dollars. In Australia, even if they have a million dollars, they don’t do that. Those corrupt officials put the money into their own pockets, and they never thought about what happened to those poor children.

There is a huge gap between the rich and the poor in China, and the rich do not help the poor and have no charity. Even if such people ascend to heaven, God will drive them down.

The poor in China are really suffering. I hope I can do my part to help them.
