What are the fire extinguisher inspection items?

2. Fire extinguisher nozzle/nozzle Check whether the fire extinguisher nozzle is intact and not damaged. The fire extinguisher nozzle is colloid in nature and is prone to aging and cracking. It will leak powder during the spraying process and cannot achieve the fire extinguishing effect. It is a required inspection item;

Fire extinguishers placed in humid or outdoor places are prone to rust, causing the fire extinguisher's fire-resistant coating to fall off. Pay attention when checking;

4. Fire extinguisher pressure handle Check whether the fire extinguisher handle is intact. The handle is an important part of controlling the spray of a fire extinguisher. If the handle is damaged, the fire extinguisher cannot be started;

5. Fire extinguisher safety pin The fire extinguisher safety pin is the pressure that protects the fire extinguisher. Without the safety pin, it is easy to accidentally spray the fire extinguisher;

6. Validity period of the fire extinguisher. The shelf life of a newly purchased fire extinguisher is 5 years, and the shelf life of a refilled fire extinguisher is 1-2 years. If expired, it needs to be refilled and repaired;

7. Inspector’s signature The inspector’s signature is required during inspection.

Precautions for fire extinguisher inspection

1. When using a fire extinguisher, even if the amount used after opening is not particularly large, it must be submitted for inspection in strict accordance with the requirements and then refilled. Moreover, different fire extinguishers use different types of fire extinguishing agents, which must not be tampered with, and the filling pressure must reach a certain standard.

2. During the inspection process of the fire extinguisher, problems are found that need to be repaired, and damaged original parts need to be replaced, replaced in time, or forced to be scrapped. These must be strictly implemented in accordance with the requirements. If the hydrostatic test fails, it cannot be used again.

3. After passing the inspection and acceptance, the fire supervision department must also affix a label and the relevant maintenance date, including the maintenance unit, which must be noted.
