This is a rare opportunity for the manufacturing industry, which is currently experiencing unprecedented competition. And the price offered by the other party was irresistible. I hastily booked a flight and flew directly to Shenyang. After a few hours of high-speed train, I finally arrived at this place. When I got off the train, someone greeted me. A person who called herself Ms. Zhao was very enthusiastic. Seeing such an enthusiastic person, I offered her a beautiful gift. Ms. Zhao was polite and introduced some basic information and precautions of North Koreans, making people feel that this is a very professional "border trade enterprise". He also informed that the next day, an older man Li would arrange business negotiations at the "Ginkgo Garden Hotel" where Koreans lived in Dandong. With excitement, I waited for the other party to pass the customs the next day, and then met the so-called "President of North Korea". Since he didn't know how to translate, Mr. Li arranged for a translator without my knowledge (I was not informed of the 500 translation fee). We negotiated an expensive business just in the exchange of words between you and me. They also signed a bilingual contract in Chinese and North Korean and informed them that they would come to inspect the factory and pay a deposit. And everything seemed to be going so well.

However, after the contract was signed, in order to show friendship between the two parties and exchange gifts, the other party first gave me a beautifully packaged ginseng, but I didn't bring anything. At this time, Old Man Li was very tactful and said, "Come on, let's give the guests a few cartons of Chinese cigarettes, because North Koreans call Chinese cigarettes "national cigarettes", and he skillfully took them to a cigarette shop opposite the hotel to buy them. At noon, he was going to let me treat them to them. A meal means celebration. In this way, I bought two cartons of Zhonghua cigarettes (worth 1,400 yuan), and then had to pay 500 yuan for translation. The dinner was temporarily canceled because I had to catch a flight in the afternoon. Zhi revealed that he was very busy and had to meet with the next wave of external suppliers.

Back in my city, I looked at the contract and then searched for relevant information online, and I was surprised. I feel deeply that I have fallen into a scam. They all used North Korean product demand to publish relevant procurement information through Alibaba. Then let companies across the country provide samples, then trick them into signing contracts, and then conduct fraud in the form of exchanging gifts. It seems to have formed an industry chain. I felt deeply uneasy, so I posted a few posts about my own experiences. Sure enough, a company like mine encountered the same thing, and we suffered the same scam at the same company the day before and after, but the other party suffered worse than me. The other party surprisingly discovered through special channels that the other party could actually receive hundreds of email samples from all over the country a day, and then they invited them to use this form to commit small-amount fraud, which seemed to form an industry chain.

However, it was impossible to call the police to trace the defrauded funds because the amount was small, so I had to accept my fate after losing thousands of yuan in air tickets. With excitement and absolute anger, I write this article to share my trip to Dandong. I still like this city because the food is good, the Yalu River is also beautiful, and the consumption is not high, but this past way is out of date. And this has become a shame in my business experience. I don't want too many people to be "fooled" like me. I hope that relevant units can do something to restore a good business environment in Dandong and prevent people from thinking of "Dandong" as being associated with "fraud".
