II. Introduction to Shaanxi Preschool Normal College

Shaanxi Preschool Normal College is A provincial public general undergraduate college that focuses on teacher education and features the training of preschool education teachers. The school was formerly known as Shaanxi Education College. It was established in 1963 by the merger of Shaanxi Province Xi'an Normal School (established in 1906) and Shaanxi Province Teachers Training School (established in 1956). In March 2012, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was restructured and renamed Shaanxi Preschool Normal College. It is currently the only undergraduate college named after "Preschool Normal College" in the country.

The school adheres to the school motto of "Honesty and Erudition" and the school-running spirit of "Standing up to preach, constantly striving for self-improvement, being magnanimous, and striving for perfection", and adheres to the school-running orientation of "teaching, locality, and application" , highlight the characteristics and advantages of preschool education and teacher education, solidly promote transformational development, connotation development and characteristic development, actively build a five-in-one talent training system of "value shaping, knowledge transfer, ability training, quality improvement, and practical training", and walk out of the A development path with its own characteristics.

The school is located in the ancient historical and cultural city of Xi'an. It currently has two campuses, Yanta and Chang'an. The campus environment is elegant and the conditions for running the school are excellent. It has modern teaching buildings, libraries, student apartments, student activity centers, and teachers. Training building, etc.; the library contains more than 1.5 million paper books and more than 1.46 million electronic books.

The school currently has the School of Early Childhood Education, the School of Educational Sciences, the School of Marxism, the School of Liberal Arts, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Economics and Management, the School of History, Culture and Tourism, the School of Music, the School of Fine Arts, and Life Sciences and Food Engineering. There are currently 28 general undergraduate majors, covering 8 disciplines: education, literature, history, science, law, engineering, management, and art, with 12,938 full-time general undergraduate and junior college students. It has been approved for 1 national-level teaching team construction demonstration project, 2 provincial-level talent training model innovation experimental areas, 5 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, 1 provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship pilot department, and 1 provincial-level virtual teaching and research office.
