Benign breast tumor examination

1.b-ultrasound can show the soft tissue structure at all levels of the breast and the shape, size and echo of the tumor. Fibroadenomas are mostly round or oval hypoechoic areas with clear and tidy boundaries, uniform internal echo distribution, weak light spots, complete posterior wall lines and lateral sound shadows. The echo behind the tumor is enhanced. If there is calcification, sound shadow can appear only after calcification. 2. Mammary X-ray film (commonly known as molybdenum target) If the breast is rich in fat, fibroadenoma shows a round-like shadow with smooth edge and uniform density, and some people can see a thin translucent halo around the tumor. A few tumors have calcification, which can be flaky or irregular coarse-grained calcification, which is completely different from the fine sand calcification of breast cancer. In the case of dense breast, because the density of tumor and breast tissue is similar, it can not be clearly shown on X-ray film. Therefore, for young women, because the structure of mammary gland is relatively dense, molybdenum target examination is unnecessary if there is no special need. 3. Magnetic * * vibration examination Magnetic * * vibration examination can't replace the X-ray film of breast and the ultrasonic examination of breast and corresponding lymphatic drainage area, and the cost is high, but it can detect the lesions that X-ray film and B-ultrasound can't detect, and at the same time, it can carry out stereoscopic measurement and functional diagnosis, which greatly improves the diagnostic accuracy. 4. Puncture biopsy When the clinical diagnosis is not clear, including imaging examination, puncture biopsy can be considered. Fine needle aspiration cytology and hollow needle aspiration histology are commonly used methods. Fine needle aspiration cytology has less trauma and the diagnostic coincidence rate can reach over 90%. The accuracy of histological examination of hollow needle puncture is higher.
