Recently, the Health and Wellness Committee of Hebei Province, the Department of Veterans Affairs of Hebei Province and the Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hebei Province jointly issued the Notice on Doing a Good Job in Medical Treatment of Retired Soldiers (hereinafter referred to as the Notice). The notice requires that, under the premise of effectively ensuring the safety of diagnosis and treatment of critically ill patients, retired military personnel (including survivors of martyrs, survivors of soldiers who died in the line of duty, and survivors of deceased soldiers, the same below) can enjoy the "four priorities" service of priority registration, priority medical treatment, priority medicine taking and priority hospitalization within the administrative area of this province with the "preferential card". Medical institutions should further do a good job in posting and hanging priority signs for retired military personnel, and incorporate relevant policies into the contents of hospital affairs disclosure, and publicize them in windows and other eye-catching positions such as registration, charging, hospitalization, and taking medicine.

It is worth reminding that the "preferential card" is only used by retired military personnel themselves, and is not used as a proof that relatives of retired military personnel enjoy medical preferential treatment.
