What are the must-visit places on the University of Hong Kong campus?

I am a master of the 18th class of Hong Kong University who is about to be released (I didn’t expect that time flies so fast, I really don’t want to graduate) to answer this question. The pictures were all taken casually while I was studying~ If the writing is incomplete, you are welcome to add it~!

HKU is located on the bustling Hong Kong Island, only two or three MTR stations away from Central. There are many people who come to visit and play. The transportation here is also very convenient. You can take the Hong Kong Island Line directly to Hong Kong. Take the elevator from Exit A to the University Subway Station.

1. Main building amp; Luk Yau Hall amp; Music Building

Let’s talk about the history first: the main building was completed and opened in 1912, and it has been 107 years since then. It's history. The building belongs to the Edwardian era and adopts post-Renaissance architectural form. It is a model of classical revival architecture in Hong Kong. (The respondent came to visit the University of Hong Kong with his relatives when he was very young. When he saw the main building for the first time, he really fell in love with the campus. Later he decided to study here. Now it can be regarded as a dream come true.)

I went home very late after reviewing before the final. When I passed the main building, I saw its vague appearance under the dim light.

There is a large auditorium called "Luk You Hall" in the main building. It is usually not open to the public. During exams, it is used as an examination room and can accommodate hundreds of people. The opportunity for hundreds of people to sit together in the auditorium for exams only comes once a semester (the original poster is really concerned about this matter~~)

Well, after coming out of Luk You Hall, there is another building opposite the main building. A small and distinctive building, that is the Music Building of the University of Hong Kong.

2. School Gate amp; Centenary Campus amp; Zhihua Hall

During the time when the respondent was studying, people often asked me about the four words "Hong Kong University" in big letters Where is the school gate? I was stunned and wanted to point out "Dongzha", which is the school gate, to those tourists, but then I thought about it and thought that the school gate is so small and the four words are not big enough... So I pointed them to two roads, one. It leads to the East Gate, and the other is the big red wall logo of the Centenary Campus (but that is not the school gate)

The picture below shows the "East Gate" of the University of Hong Kong (but the four characters are blocked by trees That’s almost it. I’m sorry that the respondent doesn’t have a recent picture on his mobile phone~)

The picture below shows the big red wall logo of the Centennial Campus (it’s not bad, there are usually more tourists checking in here than at the school gate)

The Centenary Campus is a quiet place, with some small bridges and flowing water, where the breeze blows and students study. The building surrounding the top is Zhihua Hall (a place where students usually study and discuss. Zhihua Hall has complete facilities, but only student cards can enter)

3. Library:

HKU has many libraries, and the respondent has not visited them all yet. The main library that students usually go to the most is the main library. There are six floors in the first floor. Before the final exam, Jasper (a giant docile and cute sheepdog who comes to the library) will meet everyone. There are also law libraries, music libraries and the like.

There are often student debates and other activities outside the library. From time to time, Hong Kong stars come to hold small shows. Last time I was reading in the library, I looked down and found Wei Lan below. Singing, dear jane, etc. (The university in Hong Kong is a magical place~)

4. Zhuang Yueming amp; Mei Tang amp; Yili Hall amp; Back Mountain

Zhuang Yueming is also a building HKU is a very famous building with a unique appearance. There is a story in it. It is said that the building was donated by Li Ka-shing and named after his late wife. There are many supernatural stories at HKU related to the main building and Chong Yuet Ming Building, so I won’t go into details here. There are also many students who come here usually, so you don’t need to worry about some legendary issues at all. There are several restaurants in Zhuang Yueming Building. The respondent often goes to have afternoon tea when he is tired from studying and take a look at the surrounding green plants. However, it seems that Maxim's is not open to people outside the school now.

Okay, then go out from the top floor of Zhuang Yueming and climb toward the back mountain to see the Yili Hall and Plum Hall.

In addition, climb from the back mountain to Lung Tiger Mountain and then walk a little way towards Central to reach the famous Victoria Peak. The respondent likes to invite classmates to go hiking for fitness when he has nothing to do, and by the way, he can see the famous Hong Kong Night view, I like HKU’s superior location (the night view of Victoria Peak is really beautiful~! Okay, it’s not HKU anymore, so I digress~)

There are actually many places where you can check in at HKU, I I feel like there are scenery everywhere, haha. We need everyone to come here and explore slowly with eyes that discover beauty~ The respondent will continue to review the final first, welcome to add, thank you everyone for reading!
