1. Letterpress printing paper: Letterpress paper for short

3. Offset printing paper: offset paper for short

The basis weight is 60-180 grams, including double-sided offset paper and single-sided offset paper, of which 70-120 grams double-sided offset paper The most widely used. There are three types of double-sided and single-sided offset printing paper: special size, No. 1 and No. 2, special size, No. 1 double-sided offset printing paper is used for printing high-end color offset printing products; No. 2 double-sided offset printing paper is used for printing general color printing products; Single-sided offset printing paper is mainly used for printing posters and New Year pictures.

4. Coated paper

Coated paper is made by applying a layer of coating liquid on the base paper and super calendering. The basis weight is 90-250 grams. It is divided into double-sided copper plate and Single sided copper plate. There are three products: special sizes, size 1 and size 2.

Special specifications of coated paper can be used to print fine line products of more than 150 grams; No. 1 coated paper can be used to print fine line products of 120-150 grams; No. 2 coated paper can be used to print fine line products of less than 120 grams. Line products, among which coated paper cannot be folded. Once creased, it is difficult to restore.

5. Book cover paper

The basis weight is 80-120 grams. It is mainly used for book covers. The paper comes in a variety of colors to meet the needs of printing different covers.

6. Dictionary paper

It can be divided into two types: No. 1 and No. 2, the quantity is 25-50 grams. It is mainly used for printing dictionaries and manuals. Dictionary paper is highly hygroscopic and will wrinkle when slightly wet.

7. Copy paper

Copy is the transliteration of English copy, which means copying. Copy paper is mainly used to print multiple sheets of paper, suitable for copying and typing. Since copy paper is translucent, in book printing, it is mainly used for binding portrait pages.

8. Cardboard

Paper with a basis weight of 250 g/m2 or above is called cardboard or cardboard. There are many types of cardboard. Cardboard used for printing books and periodicals is mainly used to make the covers of hardcover book cases, embossed cardboard, and envelopes for hardcover books and picture albums.

The cardboard is flat paper. The thickness of the pressed cardboard is generally divided into three types: 1 (mm), 1.5 (mm) and 2 (mm). The thickness of the jacketed pressed cardboard is 1 (mm) and 1.2 (mm). , 1.4 (mm), 2 (mm), 2.5 (mm), 3 (mm), etc. Cardboard is also used to make cartons.
