Where is Lincang in Yunnan?

Lincang, Yunnan is located in the southwest border of Yunnan Province.

Lincang is named after its proximity to Lancang River. The Tropic of Cancer runs through the southern part of the jurisdiction, and the Lancang River and Nujiang River flow through the east and west sides of the jurisdiction, covering a land area of 23,600 square kilometers, of which the mountainous area accounts for 97.5%, covering 1 district, 4 counties and 3 ethnic counties.

Lincang has a good ecology and is located in the south extension of Nvshan Mountain in Hengduan Mountain System, belonging to the longitudinal valley area of western Yunnan. Baili Changhu Scenic Area 1

Lancang River flows through Lincang for more than 200 kilometers. The lake is calm and beautiful, and Wan Hu Peninsula is dotted. There are many scenic spots along the route, such as Lancang Grand Canyon, Haiyun Mountain Villa, Manghuai and Manzhi Neolithic sites, Chaoshan temples, Yunnan-Myanmar railway sites, ethnic villages and power station landscapes.

2. Cangyuan Cliff Painting

Cangyuan cliff painting is one of the oldest cliff paintings discovered in China, which was produced in the late Neolithic period.
