How to divide and paste couplets.

Facing the gate, stick the couplets on the right hand side and the couplets on the left hand side. How to distinguish the upper and lower couplets?

1. Word for word leveling: Generally, the last word in the upper part is flat, and the last word in the lower part is flat. For example, "home is like brocade to add spring scenery, and good or bad luck depends on the party's kindness." The last word "color" in the first couplet is sound, and the last word "grace" in the second couplet is sound.

2. In chronological order: the first time is the upper part, and the last time is the lower part. For example, "the wind sends Ying Ge to bid farewell to the old year, and the snow companions welcome Mei to welcome the new year", and "bid farewell to the old year" comes first and "welcome the new year" comes last.

3. According to the causal relationship of the event: before the event, it is the upper part, and causality is the lower part. For example, "urban and rural wealth is in the right direction, policy is wise, and food and clothing are plentiful", because only the "cause" of "urban and rural wealth" will have the "fruit" of "food and clothing".
