According to the definition of domestic laws and regulations, a yacht refers to a ship engaged in non-business sightseeing, leisure and entertainment activities, and the number of crew members shall not exceed 12. According to the above regulations, yachts are similar to private cars and are not allowed to engage in commercial activities, such as soliciting customers to make money. If you want to take people sightseeing to make money, such as taxis and buses, you need to apply for a coastal or inland river boat license and go to the port and shipping bureau to approve the route.

At present, yachts need to apply for "three certificates"-airworthiness certificate, ownership certificate and nationality certificate. According to the laws of our country, if a yacht leaves the port of registration and sails for a different place, it must also bring the ship visa book to the Maritime Safety Administration for the record.

Yachts are divided into domestic and imported. If it is a domestic yacht, the certificate is generally handled by the manufacturer and delivered at the time of delivery. If the yacht is imported, the agent will assist in handling it. With the "three certificates", we should also pay attention to the validity period of the certificates. The interval between renewal and inspection of metal ships (steel and aluminum alloy) is 5 years, and that of FRP ships is 3 years. It should be completed within 3 months after the certificate expires. The maritime safety administration does not need to apply for permission to sail below the waterline of 3 meters.
