Save Grain and Cherish Life —— Keep in mind that the propaganda activities of knowledge about saving and loving grain are carried out smoothly.

10 June 16 is World Food Day. On this meaningful day, the Propaganda Department of Foreign Languages Institute, in conjunction with the food department of Pudong New Area, held a theme publicity activity of saving food and loving food at the bridgehead of the East Dining Hall.

Cherishing food is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. Since ancient times, there has been a poem that "every grain is hard", but now many of our classmates don't cherish the hard-won food, and waste can be seen everywhere. On World Food Day, the students of the Propaganda Department of our Foreign Languages Institute recorded the recent food waste phenomenon in the school cafeteria with their own cameras, and made exhibition boards, so that each of our students could pay attention to this neglected problem and awaken our consciousness of saving and loving food. In order to cooperate with the publicity, the staff of the Food Department of Pudong New Area also brought their own carefully prepared posters, exhibition boards, signature editions, speeches and so on. The contents include the current world food supply and trade circulation, the data of food shortage in China, and China's understanding of food and agriculture since ancient times. Before cherishing the signature version of grain, many students also signed their names and made a promise to save grain. Their tireless efforts only make us cherish every sweat and hard-working life energy around us.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the workers who promote grain saving and the students in the propaganda department. What we can do is to use our own practical actions to sign our names on the signature version of grain saving, not only on paper, but also in our hearts to remember.
