The Department of Public Administration was established in 1999. Department of Political Science

The Department of Political Science was founded in 1924, which is one of the earliest departments of Yunnan University. It is the predecessor of the public school of management, and has gone through more than 80 years of school history. The Department of Political Science officially enrolls undergraduates 1925. In 1930s and 1940s, famous scholars Lin Tongji, Zhu Yuou and Li Dejia successively served as department heads, and famous professors such as Qian, Wang Ganyu, Pan Dakui, Gong Xiangrui and Chen all taught here. Department of Sociology and Social Work

The Department of Sociology was founded in 1939, with Wu Wenzao as the first dean, and a number of famous sociologists such as Fei Xiaotong once taught in the department. 194 1, Fei Xiaotong took over as the department head, and the third department head was Yang Jian. Ministry of Information and Archives

The archival major (undergraduate) of the Department of Information and Archives of Yunnan University was founded in 1984, and was then affiliated to the History Department of Yunnan University. On this basis, 1987 set up the undergraduate major of library science, and 1988 set up the archives department of Yunnan university separately. 1993 the archives department added a new undergraduate major in information science (later renamed as information management and information system major). 65438-0997, the Department of Archives of Yunnan University was merged into the College of Humanities of Yunnan University.
