Educational Reform of Yancheng Prison in Jiangsu Province

Carry out legal education and repentance education with the theme of "learning the law and abiding by the law and civilized transformation", carry out moral education of "reading, being polite and obeying the rules", and carry out Confucian traditional culture education in conjunction with Confucius Institute of Qufu Normal University in Shandong Province, and establish a certificate system for criminal legal and moral common sense education, with a pass rate of 100%. Strengthen the quality evaluation of psychological correction and reform, implement the criminal emotional monitoring system, intensify the transformation and upgrading of correction workplaces, facilities and software systems, and promote the normalization and scientificity of prison correction work. New network classrooms and electronic reading rooms will be built, and the cultural and educational project of "1238" (i.e. 1000 auxiliary educational films, 2,000 special audio-visual films, 3,000 film and television works and 80,000 electronic books) will be initiated first. Various vocational and technical training courses such as sewing, computers and electricians were held, and 494 criminals obtained vocational and technical certificates throughout the year. Actively promote the prison open education day system, jointly carry out the activities of "sending posts, sending laws and send warm" with local government departments, social professional institutions and universities, and take the lead in establishing the working mechanism of helping and resettling education with local judicial and resettlement departments to make it normal and institutionalized.
