When I was in junior high school and high school, because the school was relatively close to my home, I did not live on campus. I never had a deep understanding of occupying seats. However, after I went to college and lived on campus far away from my hometown, , the seat-occupying phenomenon in the school cafeteria left a strong impression on me. One time, the morning class had finished, and around 12 noon, it was the time when everyone was rushing to eat. There were many people, and the lunch area was packed. I finally finished my meal and went over to find a seat, but there was not much left. The few empty seats were filled with their own textbooks. It turned out that some people were being clever and took the seats to themselves first. How sad! These books that carry the crystallization of human wisdom actually provide convenience for occupying seats. I feel that this is not only a trampling on social civilization, but also an insult to knowledge. I saw many people like me, looking around at the many occupied seats, and finally had no choice but to leave... The university campus is originally a palace of knowledge and a place to cultivate high-quality talents in the future, but If you can't even achieve basic social civilization, what exactly is the so-called "high quality"? Is it enough to just build the canteen bigger to meet everyone's needs? In fact, this is impossible at present, because material civilization has not yet developed to such a height, so we should improve our own height in spiritual civilization. And when they do this, they only think about themselves, which can be said to be a manifestation of selfishness and an imperfect manifestation of social civilization.

Why do people hate occupying seats? First of all, the canteen is a public place, and the seats are also public seats. Using objects to occupy the seats is obviously not in compliance with the regulations of public places. Secondly, the person occupying the seat did not consider his or her own concerns and harmed the rights and interests of others for his own rights, which was not in line with moral requirements. Finally, it is the aforementioned failure to meet the requirements of social civilization.

Although the university I study in is not very large, the environment is still very good, and all hardware facilities are complete. But when this happened, I felt very sad, because I felt like Just like the undercurrents surging under the vast and calm sea, in this beautiful campus, you can imagine that you are swimming in the ocean of knowledge, but there are dangerous eddies lurking under the sea. However, I believe that I am not the only one who realizes this, and more people will work hard to change these unreasonable phenomena in the future. Yes, all these efforts are for a better life. From ancient times to the present, generations of people have been working hard for this purpose! It is precisely the creation of labor that promotes the development of human civilization and the wheel of history. We must do the same. Only action can create a better future. But when it comes to improving social civilization, we must first make it clear that we must be ourselves. The most important thing is to stick to our own beliefs, or our moral bottom line. Some people say that people should be like water in a cup, able to change themselves to adapt to society. I think that although this makes sense, there are many things that one should stick to in life, especially in the current tide of market economy. If we do not have a solid foundation of ideological and belief, we will easily lose our way under the impact of this tide. Stop moving forward or even go astray. There are too many temptations in this world. When it comes to occupying a seat, it is the same. Faced with the temptation of having your own seat and eating comfortably, how would you choose? Although this does seem to be a small thing, or it is indeed a small benefit, but if you can't resist this temptation, how can you succeed? Regarding this matter, we don't need to be considerate of others first, but we must first abide by the first-come, first-served rule, rather than being opportunistic and clever to occupy seats.
